As many of you might be aware, scuba diving is perhaps one of the best water sports provided you are able to learn and master it properly. However, learning this sports reasonably well takes time, patience and effort. It is an underwater sport where the participant learns to be underwater for quite some time and carries with him or her the required breathing apparatus and other equipment. Gone are the days when people used to undertake underwater diving with the help of air being supplied from the top. But these days advanced techniques like swim fins and oxygen cylinders have made scuba diving safer and easier.
However, there are some things which need to be understood while undertaking scuba diving. The pressure of the oxygen cylinders should be at the optimum level because if it is on the higher side, it may cause decompression sickness which could prove dangerous. There are also other cares which need to be taken such as keeping the right kind of buoyancy, avoiding loss of heat from the body, when you are underwater, seeing that you do not have skin cuts because these could cause risky infections etc.
Always try to be mobile when you are underwater and carry the right kind of equipment and material with you. Avoid dangerous underwater creatures to the extent possible and never tease or annoy them. By doing so, you are most likely to be challenged by these predators in their home ground which should be avoided at all costs. Always keep regular contact with your friends on the surface and in the event of the slightest problem alert them so that you are able to come up at the earliest.
