Remember as a beginner chances are that you will experience many falls quite a few times before you actually master the sport. Since you cannot avoid falls, you should perfect the art of falling. Always avoid falling on knees and hands, because you might risk serious damage to your limbs. Instead always try to land on the backside whenever you cannot avoid a fall. If you are a beginner never go for skiing in deep slopes and instead settle for gentle slopes where your skiing speed will be under control and even if you happen to fall you will not hurt yourself badly. The basic thing that you have learn as a skier is to learn to balance your body weight evenly on both the skis instead of being lop sided. The areas which are prone to injury are your knees, elbows and other joints which should be well protected. Avoid crowded place to the extent possible.
